Çeşme 2018

What I liked:

1. The weather. Windy and cool.

2. Alaçatı

3. Summer houses are not densely built as it is in Bodrum. they are more like small mansions or twin houses with at least three directions have yards.

What I didnt like:

1.The treelessness. Lack of green areas. U dont feel you are in a natural area which is not very urban. it is kind of a place where just summer houses are located. But it is still urban. Roads are wide enough to provide service to many motorized vehicles. On 11500the avenue known as Çamlık Yolu you feel you are in a suburban town in USA.

2.The sea. It is so windy that you can neither swim nor stand the voice of the wind. The color of the sea in Çeşme is not Aegean Blue. Now I believe it only belongs to Bodrum. So, I Must admit that what I refer as Aegean blue is in fact Bodrum blue.

3. The flatness. Lack of hills, ups and downs.

Conclusion: I am certainly a Bodrum kinda girl. so comparing anywhere with Bodrum dissappoints me.

Ayvalık 2017

Zeytin Arası Apart Hotel

Nice and cozy place

Food is not so good but when you are hungry after swimming it is ok

Küçükköy- yeniçarohori

A small village located on Ayvalık- Izmir Road which recently turned into an art village with cafes, art ateliers

Badavut; in the protected natural area a nice bay  with almost no waves. Although hotels are built in the seaside, you can swim anywhere

Cunda-Alibey Island

Most lively place in Ayvalık offering a lot of nice sea food restaurants

Helsinki II

Not like Copenhagen. Relation with water is weaker. Waterfront is not a designer’s work.

Not many biycyles. cold weather made people walk around in malls like Forum and Stockmann.

No street food. No delicious cuisine.

More Eastern character. Between eastern and western, between Russia and Scandinavia.

More design.

More order. More like a capital.
